Does God really exist? The chances are extremely high that you've been hearing about God all your life, and have been told many, many things about him. But, the chance that you have been told the truth about God, is extremely low. And over the years, after hearing so many different beliefs, just like most, you have probably given up on ever knowing if God is even real or not. If everybody was saying the same thing about him, then that would make believing in him much simpler and easier, wouldn't it? But the problem is, almost everyone seems to have a different story about him. I mean, it's hard enough to believe in a God that you can't even see, but then you also have to deal with a bunch of preachers, saying, "This is the way God is, and you have to believe in this way, or you cannot be saved!!!" Confusing, isn't it? It's enough to make many in this life strongly question and consider the possibility that maybe God doesn't even exist. Or, if he does, (they wonder) is it possible to know truth about him. But hey, wait! Slow down a little bit. That's exactly what that old serpent the Devil wants you to do, to doubt, because he is the author of confusion, the father of all lies, and his negative influence is the reason why people have so many contradicting descriptions of the one called the Almighty God. You see, confusion leads to doubt, doubt to frustration, frustration to weariness. And once Satan has you all worn out both mentally and physically, he knows that you will end up giving in to his plan for your life, and his plan does not involve peace and happiness, eternal life, oh no no no!!! He has an eternity planned for you, full of agony and suffering. And guess what!!! Heíll be right there with you, in eternal pain. I tell you the truth, God does have a plan for you, one in which you will end up in a glorious place called Heaven. I know itís hard to believe, but just take a little time to read this literature, and I know that the truth contained in it can help you. May God bless you as you read.
The word Godhead is used to summarize or ďsum-upĒ the most excellent mind of God, to briefly describe in one word His ultimate and absolute power, dominion, and presence, which is directly related to the way that He has manifested Himself unto mankind. Having a perfect understanding of the Godhead is of the utmost importance, because God's manifestation to the world is the key ingredient of His eternal Plan to save man.
Save man from what, you may be wondering? Well, ask yourself this question, What is the only thing that God hates for men to do? Thatís right, TO SIN. Salvation from sin is what every man needs, and yes, Repentance or ďceasing from sinĒ is truly one of the two main parts of Godís Plan of Salvation (Luke 24:47, Acts 2:38). No, it is not God's will that any man should perish, but it is His will that we should all repent and serve Him faithfully for the remainder of our short lives, which the Scripture describes as being like a vapor that quickly vanishes away (2 Peter 3:9, James 4:14). And because there is nothing in this life that we will be able to take with us when we die, we should not allow ourselves to be brought into bondage by any thing (1 Timothy 6:7, 1 Cor. 6:12, Galatians 4:9). Only holiness, godliness, and righteousness, is profitable (1 Timothy 4:8, Titus 3:8). And it is the only good luggage that we can carry in to the next life. We all need to see, that this is all God really wants out of us, to stop sinning, and do the right things that He has set up for us to do (2 Chronicles 7:14).
It is written in Romans 3:23 that "...all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Nevertheless, God's Salvation Plan still requires obedience, because He only wants us in heaven, if we will keep His commandments. Just think about it for a moment. Disobedience is the reason why Satan was cast out of heaven, and he will never get a second chance to repent and go back, because he was a spirit when he sinned. In other words, when Satan chose to become wicked and evil, (contrary to God), he was eternally stuck that way (2 Peter 2:4, Jude 1:6). So likewise also, when a man dies, and takes off his flesh, if he was a righteous man, then he will be resurrected a righteous spirit. But if he was a wicked man, then, just like Satan, he will be stuck as a wicked, evil spirit (Revelation 22:11-12, Ezekiel 18:20-32). Now, judge within yourselves. If Satan was cast out heaven because of wickedness, then what makes us think that we will be allowed up there, if we are wicked just like Satan? But thanks be to God, because man is flesh and not spirit, and we have been given grace not given to Satan. So, this flesh we are covered with has actually given us space to repent, to turn from our wicked ways. So we all better have turned from all our wicked ways before we die, or else we will put ourselves in the only situation in which our sins cannot be forgiven. For it is written, "He that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, will never have forgiveness," "...neither in this world, nor in the world to come" (Matthew 12:31-32, Mark 3:29, Luke 12:10). This "blaspheming against the Holy Ghost" is simply referring to dying while we are still continuing in our sins.
The Almighty God and Maker of heaven and earth, has known from the beginning, everything that will take place upon this planet. Before mankind existed, He knew what role He was planning to play in our lives (Isaiah 46:10). When He placed Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, and commanded them not to eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, the Lord God had foreseen that they would not be obedient to His instruction. And He knew that because of their sin, all men would be separated from Him and His righteousness, as well as eternal life, because He had told them, "The day you eat thereof, you shall surely die." (Genesis 2:8-9, 15-17) And so, being wise, all-knowing, and very merciful, He already had in His mind, a perfect, fully thought out plan of salvation (Ephesians 1:4, 5), in which God Himself would become the Savior, the reconciler, the redeemer of all mankind back to Himself. That is why Isaiah 45: 21 says, "Who has declared this from ancient times? Have not I the Lord? And there is no other God beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me."
Yes, just as He said He would in Isaiah's prophesy, Yahweh has been a just God and our Savior, a light to both the Hebrews and the Gentiles, being exceedingly good to us, going to the extreme to show us what we must do to obtain eternal life and peace with him, after that we have put off this covering of mortality at the end of time. In Isaiah 63, the question was asked, "Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength?" He answered, "I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save." Another question was asked, "Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?" He said, "I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and I will trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me," this meaning that God could not find even one man to be fully obedient, to show a perfect example of obedience. So, he had to do it himself. Oh yes, He went to the extreme, because Yahweh Himself was willing to step down from His throne in heaven, to hand deliver us the word of reconciliation, to show us how to be perfect again, and He even died for us that we might live with Him. He proved his love for us, by bringing forth a perfect performance of his own will, and by it he reconciled the world back to himself.
But God is immortal? How could He ever die? As it written in 1 Timothy 3:16, "...without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh." You see, the Lord God Yahweh died for us, when He manifested Himself as a man, flesh and blood. Only then was He able to remit our sins, because it is written that "without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins" (Hebrews 9:22). That is why He was "red in his apparel, and his garments like him that treads the winefat", because of the body of flesh and blood that he manifested himself in. And, that is why He had to become the Messiah (the Anointed One), the Son of God (the "Son" referring to the flesh he put on), and He took upon himself the name YAHSHUA, meaning "Yahweh Is Salvation".
Even Yahshua said plainly in Matthew 26:28, that his blood was shed for the remission of sins, and also in 2 Corinthians 5:19, the Scriptures clearly state that "...God was in the Messiah, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing our trespasses unto us." In Isaiah 43:11, God said, "I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no savior." Again in Hosea 13:4, "There is no savior beside me." Also, in Isaiah 42:8 he said, "I am Yahweh: that is my name: and my glory I will not give to another." This means that God wants all the glory, all the credit, especially when it comes down to salvation. The Word of God declares in Isaiah 7:14 that the Lord would give us a sign, that "...a virgin would conceive, and bear a son, and his name would be called "God With Us"." It was also prophesied in Isaiah 9:6 that this son would even "...be called The Everlasting Father and The Mighty God."
John 1:1-18 says that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him, nothing was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness does not comprehend it...This was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world did not know Him. He came unto his own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, He gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth....And of His fulness we all have received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth was given by Yahshua the Messiah. No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him."
So, it now becomes clear. Yes, true enough, the world has never seen God, but God was fully in His Son. And the Son was successful in His mission. The real question to ask ourselves is, Will I be? Itís not as hard as it seems. Because of the perfect life and perfect example that He lived, because of the sacrifice he made for us, now we can pattern after it, and be acceptable in Godís sight. May the Lord God lead you and guide you into all truth, AMEN.
